TV Confessions

Blogging is hard.  It's hard to make the time to spend (more) time on the computer during my day, and it's often hard to think of things to write.  I certainly try to watch myself so that I don't publish anything too opinionated (umm, politics), too personal (nobody needs to get that far inside my head), or too boring.  But alas, I love blogs and feel that it is somewhat of an obligation to contribute to the blog world.

In the meantime, I need to get something off my chest.  It is a confession of sorts.  When I finished my masters degree in December, one of my "goals" was to watch more TV.  I rarely had time to watch TV, much less get sucked into shows, during grad school.  During grad school, I could talk all day about ergonomics, optimization, simulation, lean, just in time, kanban, push/pull, statistics, and other fascinating subjects.....but I had NO IDEA what was going on when my friends discussed the latest popular TV shows.  Hence my goal to watch more TV post grad school.

So what am I loving now?  I LOVE DOWNTON ABBEY.  I am officially addicted to this show.  I watched most of the first season on my iPad on my Amsterdam --> Atlanta flight a few weeks ago.  I plan to finish season 1 and get my hands on season 2 ASAP.  If you haven't seen it, you are missing out and need to fix that today.

What else do I love?  I AM ASHAMED, BUT I LOVE THE BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE.  Wow, I feel so much better now that that's off my chest  It is my weekly dose of mindless trash.  (Yes, I admit that it is trash.)  When we are between seasons, Monday nights feel empty.  When we are "in season," I actually look forward to Mondays.  Fortunately, we are in season right now....last night was the premier of Emily Maynard's season.

And last....Modern Family.  If you haven't watched this one yet, DO IT.  It is stinking hilarious.

Hopefully you're all inspired now to spend some QT with your couch (and maybe some cookies) and catch up on my favorite shows!!!!

Ciao!
